Torness station director: Paul Winkle

Having graduated from Glasgow University in 1988, Paul Winkle began his early career at GEC - Alstom in Rugby. He joined British Energy in March 1996 as a mechanical engineer based at Peel Park. Within a few years he became a senior engineer before being appointed as the maintenance manager at Torness power station in April 2002. Paul was promoted to plant manager in March 2006, first at Hunterston B power station before moving back to Torness in October 2006. Paul was appointed as station director of Heysham 2 in September 2008, before returning to Torness as station director in July 2009.
