The supply chain business objectives support British Energy’s overall business strategy, developed to ensure we remain at the forefront of electricity generation in the UK.
Our supply chain objectives include:
- to measure and improve supplier performance with a particular focus on safety and reliability
- to improve availability of plant systems
- to develop a fleet wide contracting strategy and increase supplier collaboration
- to implement long-term fleet deals
- to deliver value and best practice processes
- to increase customer focus and communication
British Energy is developing the next phase of its Supply Chain strategy and is looking to bring together those players that can form a partnering approach to deliver world class performance in everything we do. By ensuring our supply base is engaged with our strategy, we can work closely together and focus our performance against safety, quality, time and cost.
We adopt a category management approach within the supply market with specific strategies and processes for each category, aligning and contractually binding our key suppliers and partners to British Energy's business strategy.
